Individuals more powerful than institutions: Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT leader Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has warned that the next target of the incumbent government is to release Kulbhushan Jadhav honourably, noting that where the laws are sacrificed to save the individuals, in those countries even the national security is compromised. He lamented how long Pakistan would continue to suffer just for the sake of fulfilling the needs and requirements of a few people.

Dr Qadri said that the drop scene of DAWN news leak is just the beginning, the more is in the pipeline. The victory of PM Nawaz Sharif in 2013 General Election was stage-managed. He further added that the rule of law in Pakistan was abandoned on June 17, 2014 when the state showered bullets on its own people. The FIR was not registered and a brutal crackdown was undertaken against those media houses, anchors and journalists who criticized the barbaric action of the Punjab Government. The culprit government, which was supposed to be held accountable for this, started criminal proceeding against the bereaved families.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri wondered as to why our eastern and western borders were quiet after the news of settlement was made public. He said this while talking to members of the Central Core Committee. He said that the concerned institutions must be asked if there was no differences, why the report was not made public during last four months and why the army deemed it imperative to reject the report. He said that when government and state interests became the victim of reconciliation, the only available option left for the people was to pray to Allah Almighty. He said that it was our corrupt political elite who did not want the supremacy and continuation of democracy.

The PAT Chairman said that all of the apprehension he expressed while launching the first phase of Qisas movement in Rawalpindi on September 2, 2016, have begun to materialize. He further added that the attack on the institutions of national security would not stop here, it would continue with more scope and vigour. He concluded that our struggle was to seek justice for the victims of Model Town incident and the day when the culprits of this heinous barbarism would face their end, the Panama Case and DAWN leaks would also get justice. He said that the brave judge of the Judicial Commission refused to amend the report, that’s why the report was not being made public.
