PAT Chairman Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has condemned in the strongest possible words the Quetta, Parachanar and Karachi terrorist attacks and expressed his deepest sense of grief over the loss of innocent lives. He regretted that even the institutions responsible for ensuring law and order situation were not capable of defending themselves, what to speak of protecting the common man. He added that perpetrators of this heinous crime of killing innocent lives were the enemies of humanity. He lamented that even today, the virus of terrorism was infecting the body politic. He added that far-fetched claims of eradicating terrorism were still echoing in the air when another gruesome and deadlier tragedy occurred.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri made these remarks while addressing the Itikaf City yesterday. He said that the rulers were befooling the nation with announcement of eliminating the terrorism and extremism on daily basis. He noted that all the plans and strategies devised for uprooting the ideological and doctrinal foundations of terrorism in the aftermath of appalling incident of APS Peshawar were abandoned one by one and now these plans could only be found in statements released after each terrorism incident. He regretted that people had even forgotten the name of National Action Plan and NECTA, adding that the discussion on the tenure, jurisdiction and extension of the Rangers in Karachi was also missing on national horizon.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri noted that only the prayers and supplications could protect the country where the budget allocated for the institutions responsible for providing security to the nation was less than the budget allocated for ensuring the VVIP security and protocol. “The rulers are constantly deceiving the nation with the claim of eliminating terrorism”, he concluded.
