PAT Core Committee meets today on July 28

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has welcomed the SC’s decision of announcing the Panama case verdict. He hoped that the perpetrators of Model Town tragedy will also be punished. He said that the nation wants the corruption of the ruling elite to be eliminated. He said that the ruling family failed to provide money trail of the London assets and spoke a lie to the nation and the court for well over a year, adding that ridiculous letters were drafted in the name of money trail and threats were hurled at the officers of the JIT and even official record was tampered.

The PAT Chairman said that Nawaz Sharif can be disqualified under Articles 62 & 63 of Constitution immediately and can be punished for presenting forged record in the apex court. He said that July 28 is an important day and it will be decided whether to purge the country of corruption or continue with the practice of pushing it under the carpet.

Dr Qadri demanded that progress needs to be made in connection with administration of justice in the Model Town case. He said that fourteen dead bodies await justice even today. He said that Justice Najfi Commission report should be released and the killers of the Model Town incident should be meted out ‘model’ punishment.

Meanwhile, emergency meeting of the PAT Core Committee has been summoned on July 28 at 11 am.
