PAT leaders call on Consul General of Iran

PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Director Interfaith Relations Sohail Ahmad Raza called on the Iranian Consul General H.E. Majeed Sadiqi Dolatabadi the other day. They conveyed Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s message of condolences and sympathies to the people and government of Iran on the loss of precious human lives in the earthquake on the Iran-Iraq border. They prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in peace.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Majeed Sadiqi Dolatabadi discussed the ways and means to further strengthen fraternal bond between Pakistan and Iran. They emphasized the need of increasing cooperation between the both countries in several fields principally in trade and commerce.

The PAT Secretary General underlined the need for renewed contacts between Pakistan and Iran, saying that developments taking place at the regional and internal level make it imperative that both brotherly countries review their relationship in the light of prevailing realities and come up with a strategy to make it a win-win regional partnership.

The Iranian Consul General thanked the PAT delegation for visiting and conveying the condolences of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri at this hour of grief. He appreciated the services of the PAT leader in different fields. He particularly mentioned his authentic Fatwa against terrorism and suicide bombing and described it as the effective manner of responding to the challenge of terrorism and militancy. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is another name of love and human compassion, adding that the Pakistanis should be proud of his personality. He said that Dr Qadri’s Fatwa against terrorism is part of practical struggle for establishment of international peace.
