Shaykh-ul-Islam receives warm welcome in India

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founder and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, reached India on an organizational tour. He was given a red-carpet welcome at the Delhi airport. President of MQI India Syed Nad-e-Ali and MQI President of Marashtar chapter Rafique Khan were present on the airport along with their companions to receive Shaykh-ul-Islam. Other people who welcomed Shaykh-ul-Islam included Maulana Hayatullah Qadri, vice president of MQI India, Amanullah Patel, Secretary General of MQI India, Maulana Habib Ahmad Al-Husaini and other office holders of MQI India. Upon arrival, Shaykh-ul-Islam was presented bouquet of flowers by MQI India.

He was taken to his residence from Delhi airport in a procession. A group of media men held a meeting with Shaykh-ul-Islam in which issues pertaining to terrorism, extremism, need of interfaith dialogue, peaceful coexistence and global peace came up for discussion in the meeting.

During his stay in India, Shaykh-ul-Islam would visit a number of cities and take part in various programmes. He would also be a chief guest in a ceremony to be held on February 22 in which English translation of his historic Fatwa would be launched. The event is likely to attract distinguished personalities and academicians from different walks of life. Shaykh-ul-Islam will arrive in Hyderabad on the 1st of March.

It may be mentioned here that Shaykh-ul-Islam will address various programmes such as public meetings, worker conventions and peace conferences in New Delhi, Mumbai, state of Gujrat, Hayderabad Deccan, and Ajmer Sharif.
