MYL starts tree plantation campaign across the country

Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League (MYL) has embarked upon the mission of planting one lac saplings in collaboration with 12 youth organizations including Friends of Environment. MYL arranged several activities under the banner of ‘one flag, one plant’ in thirty cities of the country in this regard.

MYL President Mazhar Mahmood Alvi, vice president Umar Qureshi, central vice president Malik Amjad, deputy Secretary General Inam Mustafavi, and president MYL Karachi Faheem Khan launched the campaign in Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Sargodha and Karachi respectively. The saplings are being planted in different cities including Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Mianwalai, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sheikhpura, Okara, Lodhran, Hafizabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Mandi Bahauddin, and Rahim Yar Khan.

The local notables have participated in these activities and lauded the role of MYL in raising awareness about the dangers of the climate change. They said that the fact that our youth has realized the importance of planting trees, which augurs well. They said that a movement that is fired by the energy of the youth is bound to succeed. They announced to support the tree plantation campaign.
