A National Youth Seminar was organized on the occasion of the 35th foundation day of Minhaj Youth League. Addressing the ceremony, Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the sixty percent of the country’s population consists of the youth. He said that the correct use of their capabilities can make Pakistan peaceful and prosperous.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has been working hard for character building and moral and spiritual training and education of the youth for the past four decades. He asked the youth to dedicate their energies to the building of a peaceful, harmonious and just society, one that reflects the golden principles of social justice, equality and tolerance propagated by Islam. “Therein lies the human welfare and goodness of society,” he added.
Internationally known Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali attended the foundation-day ceremony as a special guest. He advised the students to strengthen their bond with the Holy Quran. He said that the Holy Quran is a Book of wisdom, guidance and salvation. He also presented a tribute to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in his melodious voice.
Secretary General MQI Khurram Nawaz Gandapur also addressed the youth at the ceremony and said that MYL has its own unique identity in terms of education, morality and spiritual training. He said the credit for making MYL the organization that it is today goes to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri who has mentored and guided the generations of youth with his deep scholarship. He said that the youths associated with MYL have lived their life in line with the mission statement handed to them by Dr Qadri, adding that we are all proud of them for their character and mannerism.
Rana Waheed Shahzad, the president of Minhaj Youth League, welcomed the honorable guests for making time to attend the ceremony, especially Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Engineer Rafique Najam, Noorullah Siddiqui, Hafiz Shoaib Tahir, Haji Furrakh Khan, Sidra Karamat and the previous office-holders of MYL. He said that they renew their pledge to keep working hard to make Pakistan a prosperous, peaceful and educated country in line with the vision of Shaykh-ul-Islam.
Youth League Secretary General Dr Imran Younis said that MYL would make sure that the target of setting up 25,000 Centers of Education given by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is achieved. He said that the Youth League would play a prominent role in this educational initiative.
