Senior PAT leader Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi has requested the Core Committee to hand over the responsibility of PAT President to someone else due to his extended stay in the UK and domestic engagements. The Core Committee met here yesterday to consider the request. Accepting the request, it proposed the name of Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani as President of PAT to replace Dr Abbasi.

According to the party constitution, the implementation process of change of guard at the top has gotten underway. The meeting lauded the services of outgoing PAT President Dr Raheeq Abbasi and paid him rich tributes. The members of the Core Committee said that the services of Dr Raheeq Abbasi will be remembered for a long time.
