Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, the senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party and former Chief Minister Punjab, held a meeting with the Chairman Supreme Council Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri in main secretariat of the party in Lahore yesterday. Both leaders exchanged views on the ongoing political situation in the country.

PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Fiaz Warraich, Noorullah Siddiqui, Sajid Mahmood Bhatti and others were also present in the meeting.

Both leaders declared the visit of Prime Minister in the Arab-Islamic-US summit as meaningless and wastage of national resources and said that that visit humiliated Pakistan.

While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din said that despite laying down more than 60 thousands lives, Pakistan was not even mentioned in the summit, while noting that the fact that our PM had not been provided opportunity to deliver his speech in the summit indicated the complete failure of our foreign policy and was tantamount to humiliating the 190 million people of Pakistan. He demanded the PM to give his explanation on this national embarrassment. He added that the hypocrite PM was being ignored across the world.

Mian Manzoor Wattoo said on the occasion that the international community is not taking our Prime Minister seriously, further saying that the Sharif Government could not plead the case of Pakistan. He urged the political forces to join their hands and come together in order to get rid of corrupt and security-risk rulers. He added that aristocracy was undermining the roots of country. He noted that all claims of progress and development could only be found in advertisements and they had nothing to do with ground realities. He further added that the economy of Pakistan was plunging under the heavy burden of loans and debts. He said that PPP demanded that Justice Ali Baqar Najafi’s report be made public in order to give justice to the victim of Model Town Incident.

The huddle condemned in the strongest words the Manchester attack. In this regard Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din remarked that the terrorists did not belong to any country or any religion. He termed the terrorists as the enemies of humanity and said that PAT condemned the heinous attack in the strongest possible words and stood in solidarity with the British government and people in this hour of sorrow and grief.
