Nawaz Sharif is ridiculing national institutions: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that a convicted person is ridiculing the national institutions. He said that his highly partisan and abusive fulminations has reached their limit against the highest judicial institution, which is guarantor of justice in the country. He said that the press conference addressed by the former disqualified and ousted Prime Minister constitutes contempt of court. He said that if such people were not stopped from holding forth, then it will encourage every convicted person to follow suit and trash the institutions of the country. He asked the so-called ‘disgruntled’ lot to present the proofs of their innocence, if any, in the accountability court instead of promoting the narrative of the enemy forces. He said that it is the institutions and the people of Pakistan who will have the last victory.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while talking the senior leaders of the party the other day. He said that not even a single leaf of a tree flapped following the SC verdict of disqualification, which is a ringing endorsement of the apex court’s decision. He said that the people did not take part in the GT Road caravan. It was mainly attended by the courtiers, cohorts and followers who were bussed from across the adjoining areas. He said that the journey of the disqualified person is a shameful chapter of Pakistan’s history. He said that majority vote against the looters was also cast in NA-120 election. He said that when the Volume 10 and Baqir Najfi report are made public, the question as to ‘why I was expelled?’ will be answered in elaborate detail.

The PAT leader said that the political elite gives a damn to the Constitution. He said that they make and break laws to serve their interests. He said that the spirit of the constitution was violated when law was amended through a simple majority to make the disqualified person as the head of the party. He said that when this legal violation will be heard in the SC, it will be struck down, adding that their destination is only jail.

Dr Qadri asked the government to explain as to why it is giving unprecedented protocol to an ousted and disqualified person and in which capacity is he addressing the press conferences in Punjab house whose maintenance cost is borne by the taxpayers. He said that the question is that does every convicted and disqualified person get the kind of protocol being given to Nawaz Sharif? He said that we are waiting for the Model Town Commission report to be made public.
