Nawaz Sharif making efforts for a pardon: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri reached Lahore on the morning of Nov 28. Addressing the media at the Lahore Airport, he said that the agreement to end the sit-in with the blessings of the Pakistan Army has resulted in restoration of normalcy for the people of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He congratulated the Pakistan Army on averting a disaster. He said that the government wanted to push the country into civil war and chaos but could not succeed in its nefarious designs. He said that a government which cannot resolve issues at the floor of Parliament, and talk to its own people, does not have a right to stay in power and expose the people of Pakistan to humiliation globally. He said that such a failed government should voluntarily tender resignation, otherwise, it will have to call it quits due.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that humiliation of the ruling family is a logical consequence of 2014 sit-in. He said that situation has come to such a pass that they cannot even go out in the public secretively what to speak of getting out in the broad daylight. He said that there is an appearance of fake courage on the face of Nawaz Sharif. He said that he was giving a news that the ousted prime minister is sending messages for pardon and they are even ready to commit in writing that none of the family members will be in politics in return for clemency. He said that no honorable person will pardon them nor will he repeat the mistake committed by Musharraf.
