A three-day Al-Hidayah (Training) Camp has been scheduled to be held from August 8 to August 10, 2009, in the University of Warwick under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK. Renowned scholars of the Islamic world i.e. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Shaykh As’ad Muhammad Sa’eed al-Saghārjī, the Head Imam of the renowned Masjid ‘Ummawi, Professor Yahya al-Jamal of Cairo University, Shaykh Abdul Hakeem Murad of Cambridge University and Peter Senders, a world class Islamic photographer would deliver lectures in the Camp. According Dr Zahid Iqbal, the head of management committee, keeping in view the popularity of these moral, spiritual, educational and training camps for last many years, the University of Warwick has been chosen as its venue for 2009 due to elaborate facilities available there where separate residential arrangements are in place for one thousand male and female participants. The cut-off date for registration is June 23, 2009. The participants will enjoy the facilities of residence and food. According to Dr Zahid Iqbal, moral, spiritual and training programmes will be in English language and purpose of the camp is to familiarize the Muslim youth living in UK and Europe with real teachings of Islam and correct distortions in the faith. He said that many non-Muslim youth also participated in the last camps and enlightened themselves with the spiritual blessings of Islam.
