Central Amir of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani has said that MQI strongly condemns the publication of blasphemous caricatures in a French magazine. He said that the whole Muslim community is grieved over this heinous act. He said that at a time when the world needs establishment of sustainable peace, there can be no greater charter of human rights and peace than the teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW). He said that it is incumbent upon the rulers of the Muslim world to take a leaf from the life of the beloved Prophet (SAW) and make him their ideal for resolution of various problems the world is confronted with.

Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani expressed these views while addressing a big Friday congregation in central Minhaj-ul-Quran Mosque in Lahore. He said that even a non-Muslim who had the honour of sitting in the company of the Prophet (SAW) in his physical life did not remain deprived of his blessing of peace and mercy. He said that there is all the more need to strengthen our bond with the person of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and act upon his teachings so that the world could become the hub of peace.

Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani said that the existence of universe owes itself to the blessings of the Holy Prophet (SAW), adding that MQI is raising the awareness of seeking his blessings. He said that the whole world including the Muslim countries are in acute need of mercy, love and compassion and peace will only be established when these positive attitudes are promoted in the society. He said that whosoever sinks himself in the whole of the Prophet’s love (SAW), he becomes a paragon of mercy and peace. He becomes the centre of people’s hopes and aspirations. He said that for this to happen, there is a need of beautifying our lives with the love of the holy Prophet (SAW).

Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani strongly condemned the terrorist attack on an Imambargah in Shikarpur and said that Mosques, Imambargahs and other places of worship have become theatre of war and the honour of the religion has been violated, adding that this has happened due to the fact that our bond with the person of the holy Prophet (SAW) is weakening. He said that the best way to strengthen this bond is to send greetings and salutations on the Prophet (SAW). He said that we can regain our lost glory if we make the Prophet’s teachings the beacon of our collective and individual lives. He said that the holy Prophet (SAW) is the prophet of mercy for the whole of mankind and the humanity can get durable peace by acting upon his teachings.
