The youth are the engine of growth for Pakistan and it is they on whose shoulders is the responsibility of the future of the country. Every word and action of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is directly linked with the empowerment of the youth. They must study his books and listen to his speeches to familiarize themselves with his vision. Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League is playing an appreciable role in making the youths useful citizens of Pakistan.
These views were expressed by Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Secretary-General MQI while addressing an online training program for career counseling, moral and spiritual training, and professional guidance of the youth that was arranged by Minhaj Youth League. PAT Secretary Information Noorullah Siddiqui, MYL President Mazhar Mahmood Alvi, Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees, Allama Ghulam Murtaza Alvi, Qasim Awan, Haroon Sani and Mohsin Mustafavi also spoke on the occasion.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur appreciated the role of MYL in youth empowerment. He said it is guiding the youth by raising their awareness about education, social service, the obedience of the law, and informed citizenry. He highlighted the importance of the youths' career counseling to enable them to play a positive role in the development of society. He said the youth are the linchpin in the national progress and the nation has to invest in their future.
MQI Secretary-General highlighted the need for polishing the qualities and leadership potential of the youth. He said they can play their role optimally only when their minds are nurtured along the positive lines. He said that more events and seminars should be held to guide the youth about career choices and empower them to take charge of their life.
Briefing the meeting, Mazhar Alvi said the youth empowerment program will continue for six months. He said the youth bulge is a pronounced aspect of Pakistan's demographics. He said that the youth presents a great opportunity as well as a threat depending upon how we deal with them. He underlined the need for the moral training of the youth to enable them to take on the contemporary challenges.
