MYL plans to hold countrywide youth conventions

Minhaj Youth League has started organizing countrywide youth conventions. The purpose of holding these events is to impart social, moral, and educational training to the youth and cultivate in them the desire for book reading. More than ten youth conventions have been held in the Rawalpindi Division so far. Now the plan is to hold these events in all the major cities of the country including Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Peshawar, Bhakkar, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Muzaffarabad, etc.

These views were expressed by central MYL president Mazhar Mahmood Alvi at a youth convention in Rawalpindi. He said helping one another is the starting point for the reform of society. He said that majority of the people are living below the poverty line in our country, stating that they are also deprived of their basic rights. He said that education, health, and food constitute the basic necessities. He said that it is unfortunate that a vast majority of our countrymen and women do not have access to these fundamental rights.

Mazhar Alvi said that the youths associated with MQI deserve to be congratulated, for they remain at the forefront of efforts to help the suffering humanity in this day and age characterized by mischief. He said public welfare is the most effective field to present a practical introduction of Islam. He said that youths have always been at the heart of movements for social, political, and economic changes. He said the credit for promoting positive thinking and an inclusive mindset in society also goes to the youth.

MYL president said that the members of MYL are doing important work for the spread of education, imparting moral and spiritual training, development and progress of Pakistan, and welfare activities for the downtrodden sections of society.

A meeting of MYL leadership from Lahore, Rawalpindi and Islamabad was also held that was attended by Secretary-General Mansoor Qasim Awan, Inam Mustafavi, Mohsin Mushtaq, Mohsin Shahzad and others. They also cut the cake to mark the 32nd foundation day of MYL and paid glowing tribute to the youths that have been part of the struggle over the last three decades.
