A ceremony was organized under the banner of Minhaj Youth League (MYL) in connection with International Youth Day. The event was presided over by the Central President of Minhaj Youth League, Rana Waheed Shehzad. The ceremony was attended by a large number of central, provincial, and district leaders of Minhaj Youth League, as well as youth from various regions.
In his address, Rana Waheed Shehzad stated that no development goal can be achieved without providing education and skills to the youth. He emphasized that due to inadequate training for the youth, Pakistan is facing multiple crises, including economic challenges. He pointed out that the same youth who go abroad become the backbone of those countries' development. He questioned why Pakistani youth are not as beneficial for Pakistan. He stressed that national resources should be invested in enhancing the talents of the youth, as this is the best form of investment. He also highlighted that Arshad Nadeem has proven that Pakistan's youth are among the best in the world, and with proper training, many such honors can be brought to Pakistan.
Rana Waheed Shehzad further remarked that the purpose of celebrating International Youth Day is to acknowledge that youth are the builders of the future and the true drivers of prosperity and change. Without providing education and skills to the youth, no development goal can be achieved. He demanded revolutionary steps to create the best opportunities for youth at every level, keeping in mind the bright future and survival of Pakistan. He asserted that if the youth are prosperous, they will play a significant role in the development, prosperity, and security of the country.
The MYL leader warned that if the issues of the youth are not addressed and are left unresolved, they will become more disillusioned, leading to further instability in the country. He noted that Pakistan is a country with a large youth population that is rapidly connecting to the global digital landscape. He also demanded that a favorable environment with equal opportunities be created to fully utilize the potential of Pakistan's young population.
Rana Waheed Shehzad mentioned that for the past three decades, Minhaj Youth League, founded by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in 1988, has been working on the intellectual, practical, spiritual, moral, social, and societal training of the youth. The organization is actively engaged in raising awareness among the youth and guiding them about their rights.
The ceremony was also attended by the Central General Secretary of Minhaj Youth League, Dr. Imran Younis, Abdul Hanan Tahir, Naeem Ahmed Malik, Muhammad Atiq-ur-Rehman, Hafiz Naseem-ur-Rehman, among other leaders.
